Diving Cruise Itinerary
The BVI is blessed with over one hundred dive sites
to suit all standards and offering great variety. With dozens
of islands and numerous sheltered anchorages it would take
weeks to see it all and
so we have no set itinerary. The Captain listens to what
everyone has to say and with that input and taking account of prevailing
weather
and
other circumstances, he will taylor the cruise to give everybody
the best cruise he can. So the sample below is not locked
in stone but will
give you an idea.
Day 1 - Sail to Cooper Island
with lunch and orientation talks on the way. Check out
and late afternoon dive and night dive.
Day 2 - Early move to Salt Island for all
day of diving on
the Wreck of the Rhone.
Day 3 - Move to uninhabited Ginger
Island for two great dives then sail to Long Bay, Virgin
Gorda Island for night dive.
Day 4 - Early sail with breakfast
on the way to the Wreck of the Chikuzen, 10 miles out
into the Atlantic. This
is a dive that some say is the best in the BVI. Sail
back to Muskmellon Bay, Guana
Island for the night.
Day 5 - Diving the Atlantic Site
on several sites named after landmarks in New York City.
Afternoon sail
to The Dog Islands for a
night dive.
Day 6 - Sail down the The Baths, Virgin
Gorda for some excellent diving at Round Rock and The
Blinders. We do a great BBQ lunch on the
beach and for those not flying out the next day
we offer more diving. We do a lovely sunset sail
down to Peter Island for
the last night.
Day 7 - If requested for those not
flying we lay on a dawn dive before sailing back to Tortola
for drop off at 10am.
